Quizno Torpedo

$4....says it all...

quiznos makes an awesome sandwich...and when you get it for 4 bucks everyone wins...

i had the turkey club, but with 5 to choose from including big kahuna tuna, you will be satisfied...

throw in a drink and i was still able to pay with my change from the car...

The Angry Whopper

well, i had to try one of these after seeing the commercial a million times in the last week it seems...

disappointing to say the least...seriously, there is not one hot thing about the sandwich...

the local burger king has jalapenos available right next to the ketchup so i added a dozen or so to the burger, but really, if you are going to advertise something spicy then sell me something spicy...

oh, and i don't know what the deal with fast food is lately but the prices are just getting ridiculous...

it was just over 8 dollars for the combo yesterday...

ouch...

7 f'n dollars for a combo meal at wendys today...

had the chicken club, with spicy chicken, but still....

i was so stunned by the price i forgot to tell them no mayo....which meant wasting a french fry scraping the crap off my sandwich...

the ketchup tastes a little funky today as well.....i wonder if it has salmonella...

Monday

back to one of my favorite spots today...

carls jr jalapeno burger...this burger is amazing with just the right amount of heat to make a large soda mandatory, but not so bad that you can't work with clients the rest of the afternoon...

i actually had planned to stop at burger king for the "angry" whopper, but the line was around the building so i'll hit it another day...

Occasionally

i end up near the house at lunch time so i roll up for some leftovers...

last night was papa murphys so with plenty sitting in the fridge i was all set...

papa murphys is by far the best pizza in town, although i'm torqued off they aren't carrying taco pizza any longer...

but you know, no matter how good the pizza is the first time the stuff out of the fridge tastes all the same...

ultimately, i'm full but i'm not real happy about it...

and still eating lunch.....

anyway i thought i would start this back up with a run to quiznos...

now usually i prefer subway since i just can't see paying a couple bucks extra for them to warm up my bread...but then i remembered it was self serve jalapenos and i figured i would get my money back that way...

so i ordered the regular classic italian on white sans black olives...to go...

picked up my peppers and i was back to the office in less than 15 minutes...which is amazing cuz the quiz usually has an insane line....gb the crappy economy....

well, i may have to rethink the penny pinching since this sammich was outstanding....perfect amount of red vinigarette and they didn't burn the bread...

i'm giving this an i'll go back rating in a couple weeks rating...

now i need to start thinking about what to have tomorrow...
